A quick guide

Second Opinionstudy & practice helper

A study app that verifies its answers.

Take a photo of a problem, or type it in, and get an answer you can check. Second Opinion solves math in real code and reviews each concept with three AI models. When they disagree, it says so. It can also turn your notes into practice questions and bring them back for review before you forget.

What it's for

Three tabs, each with one job: solve a problem, build practice from your own material, and find past problems.

Solve

Photograph or type any problem that has one right answer. You get the answer, the steps, and a chat for follow-up questions in any language.

Study

Paste your notes or photograph a slide. The app builds practice questions from that material, with flashcards and study notes.

Search

Every problem you solve is saved. Find it later with folders and tags.

What it's for, and what it isn't

Designed for everyday coursework

Second Opinion is deliberately narrow. It handles the problems students face in class, and that focus is what keeps it reliable.

Best for

  • Problems with one right answer: calculations, multiple-choice, definitions.
  • High school through intro college: chemistry, math, physics, biology, nursing, statistics.
  • Checking homework and understanding the steps.
  • Turning your class notes into practice questions.

Not built for

  • Research problems, competition-level questions, or formal proofs.
  • Questions with no single correct answer, such as essays or opinions.
  • Graduate or advanced material beyond intro college.
  • General open-ended conversation. It stays focused on coursework.

It will not guess. When a problem is outside its scope, or the three models disagree, Second Opinion tells you instead of giving a confident wrong answer. If it declines a very hard problem, that is the safeguard working as designed, not a failure.

How Solve works

From a photo to a verified answer

Four steps, a few seconds each.

Photo or type

Add a photo, or type the problem.

Checked two ways

Solved in code, reviewed by 3 models.

Answer and steps

The result, and how to reach it.

Ask a follow-up

Follow-up questions, in any language.

Why you can trust the answer

Each answer is checked the right way for its type

Many homework apps make things up. Second Opinion checks each problem with the method that fits it.

Your problem

Calculation

Solved in code

Calculations run in code and are double-checked, like a spreadsheet.

Concept

Reviewed by three models

Three AI models answer separately. The app combines them into one answer and flags any disagreement.

One answer you can trust

Math is computed in code

Calculations run in real code and are double-checked, so the result is right the way a spreadsheet is, not because a chatbot guessed.

Reviewed by three AI models

Concept questions go to three independent AI models: GPT-4o, Claude, and Gemini. They answer separately, and the app combines them into one answer.

It flags disagreement

When the models disagree, the app shows it instead of hiding it, so you know how solid an answer is.

How Study works

Your notes become your practice set

Paste in what you are learning, and the app turns it into questions based on that material.

Add material

Paste notes or photograph a slide.

Question bank

Practice questions from your notes.

Drill, cards, notes

Three ways to practice.

Redo today

Comes back before you forget.

The review loop

It brings back what you are about to forget

One rating after each question sets the timing for your next review.

Answer a question

From any of your sets.

Rate how it went

Got it, Shaky, or Missed.

It returns

Just before you forget.

The more confident you were, the longer until it returns. Your review time goes to what you are forgetting, not what you already know.

How to use it · six steps

Step 1

Enter your email. You get a sign-in link and a 6-digit code. Open the link or enter the code. There is no password, and your work stays private to your account on every device.

Step 2

Solve a problem

Open Solve. Add a photo or type the problem right on the screen, then choose Get the answer. You get the answer, a Show steps option, and a chat for follow-up questions in any language.

Step 3

Turn your notes into practice

Go to Study, then Add material. Paste your notes or add a photo of a slide, name the set, and the app builds practice questions. Open a set to drill, use flashcards, or read study notes.

Step 4

Redo what you are about to forget

Study shows how many items to redo today. Each question returns just before you would forget it, so your review time goes to the right questions.

Step 5

Find anything you have solved

The Search tab keeps every problem you have solved. Filter by folder or tag, or type a few words to find it.

Step 6

Keep it one screen away

In your phone browser's share menu, choose Add to Home Screen. It installs like a normal app, with its own icon and full screen. There is nothing to download from an app store.
